Java Chunky Monkey Smoothie by Borne Appétit

I don't know of anyone who does not like a good smoothie. They are easy to make, taste great, and versatile. There are banana smoothies, strawberry smoothies, yogurt smoothies, smoothies for diabetics, green smoothies, fat-burning smoothies, and low-calories smoothies to name just a few. There is a smoothie for everyone.
Smoothies were an intricate component of my post-bariatric diet. For weeks after my surgery my diet was restricted to liquids as I progressed to soft, pureed foods. Protein powder, fruit, spice, sweetener, fiber, ice and a blender was all I needed to advance my mend and satisfy my tastebuds. The smoothie habit has been with me ever since. I enjoy getting creative and developing my own recipes. Try my Java Chunky Monkey Smoothie and let me know what you think of it.
